introducing fun new theme Wednesdays at ordinary

Starting Wednesday, February 5, we will introduce a new format of fun that includes themes, cocktails, music, and hot dogs!

February 5th in International The Clash Day and National Nutella Day we decided to smash those two things together for the theme of the day. The drink of the day will be the London Calling cocktail that you may sip on listening to a relevant playlist I've put together titled The Clash & Friends & Enemies.

The Nutella makes an appearance with Baco Bits in a BBQ sauce that tops our hot dog special of the day. All the fun starts a 5pm until we run out of stuff!

February 12 we celebrate with The Cure theme because, well, Valentines Day is on the Friday and Friday, I'm in Love is a kick-ass and fun tune! We're doing The Lovecats Cocktail for the day, Hot Honey & Onions on the Hot! Hot! Hot! dog and of course lots of The Cure's work with other darker, double-edged love songs. 5pm until we go home. Yes, those are my cats, Pippen & Poppy staring into Robert's gaze.

February 19 is National Mint & Chocolate Day. What a tasty combo! For this challenge, we offer the 20th Century Cocktail (Gin, Cocchi Americano, Cacao, Lemon, and Mint). This drink was on our very first menu in back 2013. A personal favorite that you need to try! The playlist will be the very best Americana music including Frank Zappa, Captain Beefheart, The Bonzo Dog Band, & a few other normal musical acts. Mint Green Chutney on the dog this day.

So you walk into a tavern... February 26 is National Tell a Fairytale Day which is perfect for a Dungeons & Dragons Theme! Enjoy a tankard of the Fat Red Dragon cocktail, nosh on a really spicy hot dog and listen to some Bardcore style tunes.

March 5. Try out the Hail to King Cocktail (Smith & Cross Rum, Sfumato Amaro, Bruto Americano, Thyme) for the Evil Dead theme of the day. We'll be blasting Ash's favorite 70s & 80s rock and offering a hot dog with hacked and slashed pickles, peppers, onion with a ton of catsup splatter. If you are not familiar with the best horror movie franchise ever made ever, give yourself a little treat and watch with a cocktail. You'll laugh, cry, scream, & ...die! All in good fun.

More to come, Thanks for reading and see you soon!
